The use of essential oils is recorded all throughout history. A general definition of aromatherapy is the practice of blending and applying essential oils. There are three types of essential oils: food grade, perfume grade, and medicinal grade oils.
Currently, there is a rediscovery of essential oils and herbs for use in promoting health and pleasure in the United States. Many prefer natural products on the market today. The fact is that true medicinal grade essential oils are pure, versatile and work perfectly with the body, mind and spirit.
In the following discussion, I will be talking about the use of medicinal grade essential oils. There are the essential oils that must pass strict standards for quality and purity. These are the best oils to use because of their maximum therapeutic benefit.
Recent studies from scientists and scholars such as "Biology of the Cells" by author Bruce Lipton, MD tell us that each cell in the body has receptors that are attracted to specific vibrations of certain natural chemicals. Essentials oils are derived from plants and have a natural vibration and chemical frequency.
Synthetic based products do not have a natural frequency or vibration. Each cell must create a receptor or 'bridge' to connect with and accept these man-made chemicals. This is perhaps why some of the standard pharmaceutical medications make take several doses, hours, or days to begin to take effect.
Because essential oils are pure plant energy, the body does not have to build specific receptors for the oils. The cells of the body and essential oils are naturally in harmony with one another, and the receptors are already in place. The essential oils join the rhythm of the body, and begin to take effect almost immediately. A simple blood test can be used to prove that pure essential oil products taken into the body through the skin or by inhalation enter the blood stream in as little as twenty minutes!
Anyone that has used essential oils such as lavender or mandarin for help with stress relief can attest to the noticeable effect of the oils on their symptoms. Essential oils are so pure and natural, that they also leave the body within a matter of hours. Many more traditional remedies may take much longer to be be cleansed from the body through the pancreas, spleen, liver, kidneys and bladder.
Since cells make different receptors for the synthetic based prescriptions, essential oils do not interfere with their use or effectiveness. In other words, you can continue to use tradition remedies and essential oils at the same time. In European countries, aromatherapy has been found to be a non-invasive way to promote health and wellness for hundreds of years. In these countries, many have decided to use essential oils and herbal remedies found at the local drug store first. Europeans have found that aromatherapy (and other complimentary practices such as yoga, massage, meditation, proper diet, herbs and exercise) are natural, non-invasion ways of taking control of their own health. We Americans are now beginning to understand what that Europeans of accepted and used for hundreds of years.
Many people comment that when they use essential oils and blends, they see and feel a noticeable improvement in their body, mind and spirit. If your journey has brought you to this website, why not learn more about aromatherapy, try some of the products we offer and see for yourself?
